You are cordially invited to join with us in getting organized for 2021.
After many discussions with various groups, we came to the collective conclusion that there is a lot going on that is intended to support economic recovery, redress historic inequities, and pave the way for inclusive economic growth.
There is so much activity, in fact, that it is difficult to get our collective hands around all the reports, initiatives, and government actions.
On December 15, 2020, Small Business Majority, CAMEO, and JEDE will be co-hosting a series of three one-hour mini-workshops we are calling “WGOs” for “What’s Going On?”
The goal of each mini-workshops is to develop a roadmap to aid public and private stakeholder groups in identifying major public and private proposals and understanding methods for follow-up.
9:00 to 10:00 am – WGO in Small Business Access to Capital (agenda) (preliminary workshop summary)
1:00 to 2:00 pm – WGO in Workforce and High Quality Jobs (agenda) (preliminary workshop summary)
3:00 to 4:00 pm – WGO in Small Business Technical Assistance (agenda) (preliminary workshop summary)
A facilitator will lead each mini-workshop and a designated note taker will help complete the roadmap. We will share the outcomes from the WGOs at the December 17 JEDE Small Business Roundtable. A calendar invite will be sent to help you keep the schedule straight.
During the course of a WGO mini-workshop, participants will be asked to do the following:
Identify key reports, initiatives, and programs within their WGO issue area, providing web links where possible.
Identify key issues raised and recommendations proposed within identified reports and initiatives, including timeline, if known.
Identify organizations who have identified similar issues or made these same recommendations part of their 2021 policy priorities.
